Different life stages and transitions come with their own unique challenges. These challenges may make us feel overwhelmed or as if we may be "stuck". Sometimes assistance is needed to identify these challenges and the feelings and stressors associated with these challenges.
These challenges can take many forms: learning of a new medical diagnosis; dealing with a loss; adjusting to a life change; or anxiety and stress arising from school or work.
I provide individual counseling to clients to help them identify the challenges affecting their lives and to recognize their strengths, with the ultimate goal being to assist them in developing ways to promote life changes and lessen their distress.
I also offer parent coaching/psychoeducation sessions on topics such as behavioral issues, bereavement, life changes, mental health, school anxiety and school/college stress.
